Bird Cage Liner FAQ

Are the 60 lb paper, 20 lb wax coated, and poly coated papers safe for my pet?

Yes. The papers are dust free, dye free, and safe for birds. The poly coated paper uses an FDA approved poly coating, and the 20 lb wax coated paper uses an FDA approved wax coating.

Which is better: poly coated, plain paper, or wax coated?

We carry three paper types because bird owners have different preferences. The 60 lb paper is highly absorbent. Poly coated and wax coated liners keep droppings and moisture on the surface, which some owners prefer for monitoring. Wax coated paper is slightly less absorbent than poly coated paper and is often chosen for smaller birds.

How do I use the liners?

We recommend stacking 10 sheets of 60 lb paper on the bottom of the cage tray, or 20 sheets of poly coated or wax coated paper.

How do I measure my cage tray?

Measure the inside dimensions of your tray by length and width. If you have a round cage, measure the diameter across the center of the tray. Hawaiian, Canadian, and Alaskan customers should call for a freight quote.

What is the difference between paper, poly coated, and wax coated liners?

Wax and poly coated bird cage liners are water resistant.
